In poultry, birds are frequently attacked by wingless blood-sucking external parasites — insects such as bedbugs and fleas, and non-insects such as mites and ticks. Most produce the same result: weight loss or slow growth, reduced egg production and aesthetic damage to meat birds; serious infestations can cause death, particularly in young birds. EKTOSIL is a mixture of extracts with systemic action. Once taken in medicated drinking water it reaches and deposits in the bird’s skin, so that blood-sucking parasites feeding on the medicated skin stop feeding and are killed before dropping off the bird.

In regular, non-emergency cases add 30 ml to a pen of 50 birds twice a week for 4 weeks; in outbreak cases add 30 ml to a pen of 50 birds. Administer through the farm’s mixing or medicator tank. Shake well before use.
